"Twist and Shout"
*by Julia Lutz

Julia expertly demonstrated and explained PMC Flex clay. Yes you have more working time. Thin pieces seem to be the most flexible but coils not so much. One hour on a hot tray will dry the flex so that it can be filed and sanded. The handout is also helpful. Thank you Julia for experimenting with this so that we know what to expect.

Thank you:

Paige for an outstanding job at the Culver City Gem Show. Next year, it would be nice to have more people contribute to the display. It would also help if two people per day would volunteer to demonstrate so that Paige has more time to chat with show attendees.

Reminders:

Design Challenge is due Nov 8th

Resources:

Gem Resources has a variety of stones that can be fired in place along with information about firing limitations. Small orders are no problem. For the Channel Set Workshop you will need 3-5 same size square or rectangular stones. Stones should not be smaller than 3mm x 5mm and not larger than 6mm X 8mm and have flat tops.
