Open Studio!!"
*at Paige Litfin's

What a great turn out. In fact there was such a wonderful buzz of activity it was hard to break for the lunch and meeting. I demonstrated the Metal Clay Syringe Pen. With more practice, I am even more in love with it. Thank you Paige for opening your studio.

Dues:
It is a new year so everyone's dues are due. Your first meeting is completely free, so come check us out and see what you think,  If you want to join, dues are $25.00 by cash or check for the whole year, you really can't beat that.

Resources:

The syringe pen for metal clay can be purchased from Amazon for about $31.

Art Clay also has it.

Do you wish Silver Clay wasn't so expensive? You might want to consider FYI Silver. There is no mixing. It fires at 1545 degrees and shrinks 20%. The fired piece is .999. The reviews are fairly positive. Apparently it is rather like original clay and also very flexible.

Workshops:

Michelle Ross - Beginning Metal Fabrication on April 23rd. Class is full and there is a waiting list. Contact Michelle if you want to know more.

Chris Brooks - Syringe Projects on May 21st.

Michelle Ross - Advanced Metalsmithing Ring on July 16th.

 Coming next month!!!

*by Chris Brooks

Want to know what tools you really need for metal clay (and what is just a nice to have). Wondering were to get these things. This meeting is meant to answer all your clay tool questions.
