What a fun year end celebration we had. We had a fantastic turnout and everyone seemed to have a good time. There was a wonderful selection of food. It seems that New Metal Artists are good cooks too! Thank you for all your contributions.
Thank you to Michelle for hosting. The house looked so festive.
The earring exchange was also a big success. Nearly everyone participated and they were all beautiful. The packages were delightful as well.

Congratulations:
The Design Challenge winners are Marcia Colquhoun, Tina Langan and Beth Silverman. Congratulations on making such amazing pieces.
Dues:
January is a new year so everyone's dues are due. Your first meeting is completely free, so come check us out and see what you think, If you want to join, dues are $25.00 by cash or check for the whole year, you really can't beat that.
Where:
For the time being we will meet in members homes. It seems to be working well and it is nice not having to pay a lot of rent. However, the possibility of renting a place for workshops is still being explored. Please email Paige if you are willing to host a meeting. paige@paigelitfin.com
Lending Library:
If you have books or DVD's that you can donate please bring them to the January meeting. Stephanie will be setting up our library. More details on that to come.
Workshop:
Robert Dancik will be doing a 2 day workshop for us. It may be July or October. Specific topic, cost and location are to be determined.
Metal Clay Open Studio:
Marcia is offering another open studio on Sunday January 15th 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Fee:$ 10.00 per hr.
Marcia will be providing equipment and expertise for finishing and firing projects. In addition to a kiln for firing, she has a table top kiln for keum-boo, a Silhouette electronic cutting machine, soldering equipment and variety of textures.

January is a great time to go through your stash and make room for some new things. Bring in your craft closet orphans (excess beads, unwanted stones, texture plates that failed to inspire, tools gathering dust and so on). Be prepared to swap, barter and sell them to other members of the group. Bring some small bills, or be prepared to barter.
If you have not been here for a “Trash to Treasure” you are in for a real treat. This is a very fun meeting. Location will be announced later.
